CD Projekt RED, the studio best known for being responsible for the acclaimed The Witcher: Wild Hunt, received approximately $ 7 BILLION of the Polish government. Why? The authorities want to investigate new features of gameplay.
The study shared this news on his blog and pointed out that the funds come from the program GameINNN of the National Centre for Research and Development of Poland. The survey got the money after submitting 4 proposals for funding, which were approved.
"to Develop games is an innovative activity, but also one that brings financial risks, involves research and development work and a lot of experimentation along with some prototypes. Now our industry has the potential to become the champion of the Polish economy modern," said Adam Kicinski, president of CD Projekt RED.
The web site of the National Centre for Research and Development points out that the proposals of the CD Projekt RED are related to "creating cities", "essentially kinematic", "excellence in animation" and "multiplayer" continuous. It is important to note that this does not necessarily mean that the company will implement any of these features in a future draft.
Currently, CD Projekt RED is working on 2 projects: Gwent: The Witcher Card Game and Cyberpunk 2077. The first is a title card that is currently in Beta period, while Cyberpunk 2077 is a production ASA that will come after 2017.
