The endless tunnel – English Blog

By Jose Blanco (*)

Finally consummated what was to be expected. The barons of the PSOE led by José Luis Cebrián and Felipe González, accompanied by Susana Díaz, Alfonso Guerra González, Juan Carlos Rodríguez Ibarra and José Bono Martínez, Manuel Chaves González, and a few other barons and baronesses more, decided to kill Pedro Sanchez, the now former secretary general of the PSOE, to deliver the government to one of the worst right-wingers, and the most corrupt that has had Spain: the Match P

The greater sin of Pedro Sanchez, was hold up his end with Rajoy would not go nor to the corner. At the same time Sánchez had greater difficulties to make government in partnership with we Can, precisely because of the pressures of all kinds that he received from those same barons of his party. Sanchez and Pablo Iglesias, Can, had come to an agreement on their biggest difference was the deal with the independence of Catalonia and the Basque Country. We can and PSOE more other smaller parties would have been able to form a coalition government with a programme of what’s possible, together. It certainly is advised of the strong risks of a coalition government, as suggested to hold an Executive with a minimally stable, but the PP in the opposition would have been neutralized in the congress of deputies, and the situation of Spain would have been a very different one. This, in turn, might have had a positive impact to curb the rights of Europe that is still advancing.

how All of this had created a critical situation in Europe? Yes, of course, but of a nature altogether different from that which now lives in the European Union (EU).

The first of October The Country, the newspaper founded by Cebrián, thundered in its editorial: Save the PSOE. The eesc inevitable and legitimate of Pedro Sanchez is the only way out for the party. That position the next day would take shape in the PSOE federal executive committee: everything was decided. Among other compliments, the editorial said, Any political leader cabal would have done so without hesitation. But Sanchez has proven not to be a leader cabal, but an insane and unscrupulous that does not hesitate to destroy the party that with so much misconception has led before to recognize your massive failure. Don Felipe Gonzalez and his henchmen talking about scruples!

What were the recent horrors committed by Sanchez?: therefore, the PSOE had lost in the regional elections in Galicia and the Basque Country. What all spaniards do not know that in the previous six european elections held in Spain, the PP has been the preferred choice of the galicians, and especially in the galician countryside they love their fellow countryman Mariano Rajoy? Do you ignore that the Basque country has its own national identity? Does sanchez deserve this nefarious treatment by The Country in the conditions of choice of these two regions?

The barons caused a debacle in the federal executive commission with the resignation of 17 of the 38 members to force the resignation of Pedro Sanchez. Under what conditions did this happen? Sanchez came to the meeting of the commission with the proposal put to a vote to hold an extraordinary congress and a primary election in October to renew the leadership and the militancy was pronounced, on giving viability to the formation of a government led by Rajoy, or to speak for a third election in December. The commission, by show of hands, rejected the proposal of Sanchez, decided to form unacomisión manager and hold an extraordinary congress to renew the leadership! Everything indicates that with the commission manager and the majority of the dome of the PSOE will abstain in the Congress of Deputies in order that Rajoy has the votes to form a government. Sanchez had no other exit door to offer his resignation. All in all, the vote against Sanchez was by a minimum difference, and a thousand other signs speak of a broad support of the militancy of the PSOE to the now ex-secretary. This militancy knows who is Rajoy.

Sanchez, was elected in his time in primary elections in which you voted all the militancy of the PSOE. The news of the result gave the newspaper The Vanguard in July of 2014 in this way: Pedro Sanchez wins the primaries of the PSOE and will be the new secretary-general. The madrid wins in 12 communities. Triumphs in Andalusia and imposed, in federations such as the Basque country, the Valencian Community and Madrid. Madina (who now will lead the management committee ) won in Catalunya . Now a handful of barons, and baroncitos decide for all the militancy of the PSOE to deliver the power to Rajoy.

By now the tunnel Spanish it is not known where it leads, but the future is not of peace and happiness. United we Can will be a fierce opposition, and in a sigh has managed, in its first foray in the general elections, to break the spine to a two-party system, neo-liberal and corrupt. The young people, they have said some regional leaders of the PSOE, voted Can. Perhaps in some years this may be a little light at the end of a tunnel that has a thousand ramifications for the entire EU.

But all these conjectures, made in the context of the growing tension between the united States on one side and Russia and China on the other, it is a suit, perhaps of an importance too small.
