Parliament of Catalonia sets referendum separatist – The Star of Panama

The regional Parliament of Catalonia (north-east) approved yesterday a resolution to convene, with the endorsement or not of the central State, a referendum for independence 'binding’, as very late for September 2017.

The parties have managed to pass the parliamentary resolution are the coalition Junts pel Yes -made up of heterogeneous political formations – and the party of the radical left CUP, which in total have an absolute majority (72 votes in a Chamber formed by 135 seats).

in Addition to setting the date for a referendum for independence, Junts pel Itself, and the CUP also adopted resolutions to create an Advisory Board of the Constitutional Process and the convening of elections, constituents in the six months following the self-determination referendum, if independence gets over 50% of the votes.

These resolutions are adopted on the same day that the Constitutional Court (TC) has called 'criminal liability’ to the president of the Catalan Parliament, Carme Forcadell, not to abide by his resolutions against the process of independence.

In parallel, the Spanish Supreme Court also initiated proceedings for the trial of the spokesman for Catalan nationalist in the Congress, Fransesc Homs, for disobeying the instructions of the TC to suspend the convening of a consultation pro-sovereignty on 9 November 2014.

The Spanish Constitutional Court has suspended all the resolutions secessionist approved by the Catalan Parliament, driven always by Junts pel Itself and the CUP, two games whose aim is to implement a roadmap that will culminate with the 'disconnection’ of Catalonia from Spain.
