National Heritage will draw soon vault the Royal Palace of Madrid Royal Crown and Sceptre, maximum symbols of the Spanish monarchy, to expose them for the first time to the general public on a permanent basis, have advanced to the Europa Press agency under the Ministry of the Presidency .
The two jewels belong to the collection of National Heritage and are rarely exposed because they remain guarded in said chamber. They were exhibited at the Chamber of the House of Representatives on 19 June, on the occasion of the proclamation of King Philip VI.
One day these two historic objects out of the vault for the first time in 34 years . Not exposed since 1980 to mark the transfer to Spain of the remains of Alfonso XIII for burial in El Escorial (Madrid).
The two jewels will show shortly in a new hall of the Palace that will open to the public under the name Crown Room. The Crown and the Sceptre have been used as an icon of the monarchy in the ceremonies of proclamation of the Kings of Spain since the reign of Isabel II and in the funeral ceremonies of the monarchs.
The Royal Crown, silver-gilt, dates from 1775 and was manufactured in Madrid by the silversmith camera Real Casa Fernando Velasco since 1748, however, one of the diadems also contains the date 1788, indicating that some might suffer damage or be modified, according to the National Heritage

In early October, Heritage expects to open its new visitor reception center, which has undergone a refurbishment to modernize facilities.
