The president Tabaré Vázquez meets with his few Spanish prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, and with entrepreneurs in Madrid – LARED21

In the framework of the official tour de Vázquez for Europe, this Monday November 28, the president meets with Spanish president Rajoy, and will participate in a breakfast work in the financial city of Banco Santander in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid), which will be attended by the presidents of companies in different fields.

The president will promote Uruguay as a place ideal for investment.

The meeting with local entrepreneurs aims to improve trade flows with Spain, and attract investment to the plan of works for the period 2015-2020, with a projected investment of 12.370 million dollars, of which one-third will run through a participation agreement public-private one.

In this sense, the Government is seeking to attract investment foreign to develop infrastructure works in roads, railways and at the port of Montevideo.

The decision of the Finnish company UPM to install a new processing plant of cellulose pulp in Uruguay, has implied the improvement of the paths, connections, railways and the port terminal to take the production.

On more than one occasion, Vazquez has referred to the "tax benefits" to the investment, which also will point out this Monday in Madrid.

The president has emphasized the "equal treatment between national and foreign entrepreneurs, the incentives for reinvestment, and the subscription of over 35 agreements on protection of investments".

on the other hand, as reported by the EFE agency, Vázquez visited this Sunday the castilian city of Segovia, located about 90 kilometres from Madrid.

he Was received by the mayor of Segovia Clara Luquero, and the subdelegada of the Government in the region, Pilar Sanz.

it Was a private visit in which the president was accompanied by his wife Maria Auxiliadora Delgado. Visited the Cathedral and the Alcazar, which was the seat of the kings of Castile in the medieval period, and the Royal College of Artillery, founded by Carlos III.

The walk included a lunch at the restaurant Cándido, who was an innkeeper greater of Castile.
