Fighter MiG-29 of Russia crashes in Mediterranean sea, driver gets out thrown – Xinhua

MOSCOW, nov 14 (Xinhua) — A plane fighter MiG-29 of the Russian army crashed in the Mediterranean sea, but the pilot managed to get out ejected, said today the Russian Defense Ministry.

The plane crashed into the sea during a training mission when approaching the aircraft carrier “Admiral Kuznetsov” for a landing due to a technical glitch, the ministry said in a statement.

however, the ministry did not specify when the incident occurred, although some media said it happened on Sunday.

The pilot managed to get out ejected and his life is not in danger, added the ministry.

A single aircraft carrier Russian “Admiral Kuznetsov”, was sent to strengthen the group’s naval Russian that operates in the Mediterranean, with the aim of helping in the mission against terrorism in Syria.
