Arrested in Spain two moroccans as suspected jihadists – Terra Peru

The Spanish police has arrested two moroccan nationals it accuses of being jihadists fully integrated into the terrorist group Islamic State (EI), ready to attack in Spain and very active on the internet, where they made proselytizing.

The arrests were made early this morning in Madrid and in Roda de Ter, a village near Barcelona, as reported by the Ministry of the Interior.

According to the investigation, which remains open, the two moroccan detainees were fully integrated into the EI after their voluntary adherence and publicized on social networks, followed promptly their instructions and were completed each their manuals to perfection.

Both used the internet and social networks to radicalize, capture, and eventually to recruit new adherents to the terrorist cause, according to the sources.

in Addition, they revealed all sorts of contents and radical propaganda, which included images of “extreme rawness” and violent acts, aimed at “instilling terror in western societies”.

The features of the two detainees were “their individualism and decentralization”, so that “the two were by themselves ‘cells’ terrorists ‘separate but coordinated and overlapping in their purposes”.

According to Interior, these cells were “potentially dangerous, directed and controlled by DAESH (EI by its acronym in Arabic), and in a state of preactivation to the possible commission of terrorist bombings in Spain.”

The two men had advertised their oath of loyalty to the terrorist organization and were “in a state of total isolation”, as they restricted their contacts with the outside world “to the virtual environment through their profiles jihadist radicals.”

According to data from the ministry of Interior, their radicalization had evolved to the extreme of volunteering to DAESH as “martyrs” to act at any moment, place and situation.

From 2015, the year in which the Spain had raised the level of alert against terrorism, the Security Forces have arrested a total of 163 jihadi terrorist.
