HRW denounces the destruction of villages rohingya in Myanmar – Terra Colombia

satellite Images of high definition show that 820 structures were destroyed this month in five villages of the rohingya muslim minority in the unstable state of Rakhine, in Myanmar, said Monday the group Human Rights Watch.

The group with headquarters in the united States urged the government of Myanmar to invite the United Nations to assist in a fair investigation.

The government has admitted the use of weapons from helicopters to support ground troops in operations counterinsurgency in the area, after that nine policemen killed last month in attacks.

The muslim rohingya have been victims of a violent campaign in the state of Rakhine, where the majority is buddhist sees them as immigrants without permission to reside in the country, despite living in the region for generations. They are denied citizenship, and more than 100,000 rohingya living in camps after being driven from their homes in clashes with other inhabitants of the state in 2012.
