King of Spain award Codespa People Strategic – The Herald (Colombia)

The international recognition was delivered in Madrid yesterday to Azucena de Benedetti, the legal representative of the company, at a special ceremony held in the auditorium Rafael del Pino of the Spanish capital.

The prize Codespa to exalt the agenda of diversity and inclusion work People Strategic, a model of training and employability addressed to vulnerable population, afro-colombian, indigenous and victims of the armed conflict.

The category in which she won People Strategic was the Social Innovation Business, which rewards the initiatives of firms, whether Spanish or non-Spanish, that show how the union of social objectives and business can increase the impact and sustainability of the actions developed to combat poverty in Latin America. In the same, he competed in the peruvian company Rate, with the initiative Supply of fish in the sierra of Peru.

"I Come from Colombia, a country so deeply attached to Spain, crossed by scars of endless wars, migrations, and offal; a country, in sum, like so many others, including the world first, perplexed by the inequalities, fear of migration and the challenges still indecipherable for the contemporary world and the digital age," said Benedetti.

In partnership with organizations of international cooperation, State agencies and employers, over a period of almost 10 years People Strategic has been building a model that seeks to provide opportunities for high quality training and access to formal employment and dignified, for young people, traditionally marginalized and excluded.

Benedetti also noted that: "The unequal distribution of suffering and the opportunities, ever increasing the vulnerability of the vulnerable. But we believe in the future. It is as well as we need to understand the huge and victorious efforts of the colombian government to consolidate the peace process." And he went on to say that in front of this reality, "that it is incumbent upon us all", in People Strategic are allowed to dream "with a country more equitable, inclusive and diverse." He also mentioned the virtue of the education to be an effective instrument of responsibility for the other.

In Smes of Solidarity, the contestants were the Foundation Barraquer, with 'Fight against blindness caused by cataracts in developing countries', and the company Idna, with 'System Abic rural'.

finally, in Journalism for Development, competed journalists Nuria Mejias and José Luis Fernández, TVE, with 'The drama of the syrian refugees', and Ángel Expósito, Cope, with, 'The morning of Cope from Mali'.
