Detained a woman in Spain for alleged glorification of terrorist – Prensa Latina

January 23, 2017 08:20Madrid, jan 23 (PL) The Guardia Civil arrested today to a woman of mexican national for his alleged links with activities of autoadoctrinamiento and glorifying a terrorist, reported the ministry of the Interior.

According to a note from the cited department, the arrested, aged 38 and born in Monterrey (Mexico), is the wife of Aziz Zaghnane, who remains in prison since may of 2016, accused of integrating a network of recruitment and indoctrination jihadist.

Arrested in the madrid suburb of Pinto, the woman ‘came to be very important figure among the women of the islamic community in his native land, and encouraged the jihad women and sharing material for propaganda,” indicated the source.

In 2010, still in Mexico, he expressed his rejection of his catholic past and his desire ‘to be linked emotionally with a muslim’, added the statement.

The Civil Guard stressed that with this operation and other recent emphasising the growing importance of females in the apparatus of the propaganda of terrorist groups, especially the self-proclaimed Islamic State.

With this new arrest, amounting to 183 alleged jihadists captured from June 2015, when Spain turned the level four alert against terrorism (one less than the maximum), which indicates a high risk of security.
