Chiquillos worldwide expressed in words and inspired a “Children’s Declaration for Road Safety” in thoughts and fears in relation to streets and highways. Part of the statement reads:

Why are killed and injured thousands of children in the streets and highways of the world? Because it is not doing enough. All children deserve to be safe when we go and return from school.

The streets and roads must be safe for children to walk to school.

We want roads Secure and safe bike lanes, speed regulators want to ensure that traffic is slow, and we want safe crossings so we can get an education without fear or hurt. We want all vehicles carrying children around the world are safe. In all cars and buses must have safety belts. When children traveling with an adult on a bike, you have to wear a helmet and fastened to protect them.

We know that wearing a helmet or a seat belt can save lives. Drinking and driving is dangerous. Driving too fast is dangerous. Persons transporting children should not do these things, no one should.

The police must do more to protect and have to stop people going too fast or drink alcohol while driving. We’re just kids and our voices are not always heard, so we need to help us act. Give us streets and roads safer now, we can be and will be a good example for future generations. Please hear us and act. Save our children.

This is a part of the statement addressed to world leaders to have safer streets and highways. To see the full statement, please contact, gentle reader, to http://www.SavekidsLives2015.org website.
