It is a specific subject in Royal Decree 1105/2014, where LOMCE Middle and High School curriculum is established, and will be offered in other regions in 2015/2016.

The Andalusian Association of Teachers of Informatics and the Professional Association of Engineers of Andalusia make the following public review:

There is a social and economic demand to promote computer education in secondary schools in Andalusia, and to learn in depth this issue is essential for the professional development of our youth, their ability to problem solving, innovation, and therefore for the future of employment in Andalusia.

The European Commission estimates that 1,000,000 jobs in Europe will not be covered for lack of qualified IT staff until 2020. In Spain, the Directorate of Public Employment calls on the education authorities measures to promote computer education, being . of a strategic sector with full employment

At the educational level, in Andalusia:

The field of Information would remain optional in Secondary without mandatory hours in the four years of ESO, and the lowest of hourly loads. In addition, the plan design multilingualism, bilingual pupils are obliged to choose as an optional “second foreign language” (French), and therefore, the bilingual students can not study computer science in any high school course.

A draft level, and for subsequent courses to 2015/2016 in Andalusia, it is found that the Information and Communication Technologies I and II ofertarían with an optional hour in 1st and 2nd year, within the block of Religion and Education Citizenship, pupils must choose one of the three. On the other hand, welcomes the inclusion of a subject 2nd cameras in high school in the scientific itinerary.

We therefore request that information technology and communications occupy a space according to their social and economic importance in the Andalusian education system, with two proposals:

for Informatics is offered in all high school courses, as part of a comprehensive training of students, availability of compulsory hours

<. p> ICT subjects have a similar recognition of other materials, remain optional with a sufficient number of hours in the high schools of social sciences, and are binding on the scientific branch, directing treatment toward Computer Science.
