The National Federation of Joint Receivers (Fenamix) and National Association of Provincial Associations Lottery Administration (ANAPAL) presented on Thursday at the Ministry of Finance of Spain a total of 210,000 signatures against the tax of 20% levied on the lottery.

The presidents of Fenamix, Toni Castilian, and ANAPAL, Manuel Izquierdo, presented more than a half dozen boxes containing 210,000 signatures protesting against the special levy 20%, the government imposed prizes lottery draws since January 1, 2013.
Before entering the headquarters of the Ministry, Castilian explained that 210,000 signatures were collected in two weeks and which they were reflected because the government “is not behaving”. He described as unfortunate the tax “hurts all sales.”
He cited the football clubs, which are famous in Spain for the number of bettors. He noted that, “if a person invests 10,000 euros and corresponds a prize of 6,000, the bettor loses 4,000 euros in taxes.”
Meanwhile, Izquierdo said even collected more signatures they arrived at his office on Thursday but could not attach to the package. He criticized the Finance Minister Cristobal Montoro, because the tax is “absurd”.
ANAPAL President further explained that the image of the state lottery is declining at around 20%. He said many players have refused to bet they do not think paying the same tax twice.
