Spanish senator refuses to Supreme prosecution for membership of ETA – Terra Peru

Senator of the Basque separatist formation EH Bildu Iñaki Goioaga today before the Supreme rejected charges that led to the Spanish high court to prosecute for integration into the terrorist organization ETA.

Both the prosecutor and the Association of Victims of Terrorism (AVT) ask for him a sentence for membership of an armed band and subsidiary collaboration with ETA.

For these crimes he prosecuted the Supreme, in assessing evidence that was part of the group of lawyers who helped to keep ETA prisoners under his discipline and structure.

Goioaga appeared before the high court to hear the indictment and simply fulfill the process, consisting oppose the decision of the Supreme and briefly reject the accusations, without extending in his statement, as he referred to what already explained above the investigator.

After saying that his relationship with prisoners was only legal, Senator refused to answer questions on the allegations.

The judge agreed last week in a car leaving Goioaga on bail, but obliged to appear on the 1st and 15th of each month to the Night Court that matches your home.

In addition, he required the passport and imposed a bail of 6,000 euros (about $ 6,786 at current exchange rates) to ensure the possible financial liabilities that may correspond.

As of October 2011, when decreed the cessation of its armed activity, ETA staged four decades of terrorism in which he killed 856 people and practiced kidnapping and extortion with the aim of secure the independence of the Basque respect to Spanish State.
