Bilbao, Jan 18 ( EFE ) .- The Popular Party held tomorrow Monday, January 19, in Bilbao, its annual event to support victims of terrorism, who will attend the party general secretary, Maria Dolores de Cospedal.

The event also will attend the president of the Victims of Terrorism Foundation, Mari Mar Blanco, sister PP councilor of Ermua (Bizkaia), Miguel Angel Blanco, killed by ETA 1997.

With this political act, that the PP traditionally held around the feast of San Sebastián, whose eve ETA murdered in the capital San Sebastian one of its most charismatic leaders Basques, Gregorio Ordóñez, the party recognizes the role of victims of terrorism in social resistance the threat of the band.

The act of popular will place a few days before the demonstration on January 24 in Madrid by the Association of Victims of Terrorism ( AVT ) to protest the “defaults” ten promises contained in the electoral program of the PP.

The Basque PP has considered this week in Bilbao holding a memorial service victims of terrorism is not a “counter programming” to the demonstration called by the AVT in Madrid, because “the more acts of recognition, the better.”

At the annual event of the Basque PP has given this year a national dimension, but explained this week the general secretary of the “popular” Basques, Nerea Llanos, that does not mean it is an alternative to the rally scheduled by the AVT .

By having a national character will intervene victims of PP from other parts of Spain and not just Euskadi.
