Two Greek pilots and eight French nationals were killed and scores of people were injured, seven of them seriously, in the accident yesterday in Albacete.

The Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, confirmed in a television interview that no Spaniards among the victims, but “quite wounded”, including 10 French and 11 Italian .

The accident occurred at 15.18 hours, when an aircraft participating in the Tactical Leadership Programm (TLP) program of NATO aka Pilot School Improvement, effected a maneuver takeoff.

The aircraft lost power, crashed into the parking of aircraft and crashed into some aircraft were stationed, which caused a major fire.

This is the most serious accident involving a military aircraft occurred in Spain since 1984, when a US Hercules crashed in the province of Zaragoza and its 18 occupants died.
