Police Spanish makes extensive operation against a Moroccan drug ring
MADRID, SPAIN (23 / JAN / 2015) .- The Spanish police seized eleven tons of hashish and arrested 55 people in connection with an extensive operation in various parts of the country against a Moroccan drug trafficking network.
The drug was stopped at different points of the operation deployed in several Spanish cities, especially in Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Algeciras (in Andalusia, southern Spain ) and African enclave of Ceuta in northern Morocco, said Friday the police.
Agents also discovered seven weapons, including two assault rifles.
The drug, which was to be distributed by Europe , came to Spain in outboard motor boats. Sometimes traffickers also concealed in the fuel tanks of trucks.
