The Spanish police arrested five suspected Barcelona Members of the notorious gang of jewel thieves “Pink Panther”. The five are of Serbian origin.
He said that thieves captured on Friday as they tried to escape after robbing a jewelry store in an elegant shopping street in Barcelona. Police say the thieves took them less than a minute to steal jewelry worth 400,000 euros (443,000 dollars) before being captured.
The arrests came after German police warned his colleagues in Spain that one of the thieves was traveling from Belgrade to Barcelona.
According to Interpol, the gang “Pink Panther” stole 334 million (370 million) dollars in jewelry by armed robberies between 1999 and 2015.
