Catalonia, August 3, 2015.- The president of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Artur Mas , signed a decree for the dissolution of the Catalan parliament and call for Catalan elections on September 27.
According to statements by Mas quoted by the newspaper El Pais, the document is “unassailable from a legal point of view.”
He noted that the September election will be from the political point of view a referendum on the independence of Catalonia with respect to Spain.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Spain, Mariano Rajoy, he warned not permit a “frontal attack on the law or the rules of coexistence” in the country, referring to that planned referendum and said that there will be no independence of the region. / ORODRÍGUEZ
