The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment reported that from January 1 to July 26 were calcined 52 000 557 hectares compared to 37 thousand 500 in 2014 and 21,000 in 2013.
the burned area, 15 thousand 300 hectares correspond to forest area and the remainder to pastures, open and scrub bush.
The total number of fires recorded so far is six thousand 749, while in 2014 was six thousand 888 and in 2013 four thousand 380 .
According to the assessment of the Nature Protection Service of the Civil Guard this year increased the severity of each fire, although given the high temperatures experts expected even worse results.
