Rajoy asks the PP to focus on the economy to win votes – Terra Colombia

The Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, on Tuesday called on members of the Popular Party to focus on economic recovery and to win the various elections scheduled this year after internal friction arising after the defeat in regional elections in Andalusia. Rajoy met its National Board for the first time in two years after the samples of dissent emerged in training after the first election year, and before some polls predict a drubbing at the polls for the party in power in the other three appointments election of 2015.

The Conservative leader highlighted the work of PP politicians in recent years, arguing that the economy had managed to straighten after taking over the country in 2011 at a time when the economy Spanish bordered the rescue.

“What we have done serves as collateral for what we have to do in the future, and defending it is a common task (..) and we should be proud because we did it in a situation of extreme difficulty “the president said at the party headquarters in Madrid before the party leadership.

Rajoy reviewed the recent good economic data, including falling unemployment, and requested a move that message to voters that without even feeling the recovery, in May choose their local leaders before renewing Parliament National at year end.

“If we Spaniards understand it, it’s us first we have to believe it and defend it and not get caught up in things that matter to 25,” he said to applause from his.

“We must have clear objectives and should not be distracted or leave the less distracted by trivial or minor matters,” he said.

After the setback in Andalusia on March 22, members of the PP were critical to the management of the leadership of a party that came to power with an absolute majority just over three years and that in the polls losing ground to innovative bands like Can or Citizens.

These two options have opened a gap between policy options for a sick citizenship welfare cuts in areas such as education and health and also tired of the corruption in the ranks of the traditional parties.

“We are so embarrassed and outraged like them,” Rajoy said in his speech referring to corruption, which ranks as second problem for the Spaniards behind unemployment.
