Rajoy asks PP support economic recovery and winning elections – El Diario de Yucatán

MADRID (EFE) .- The Spanish prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, today asked the official People’s Party (PP) not distracted ‘irrelevant matters’ and focus on supporting economic recovery and win the elections this year.

Speaking before the National Board of conservative formation which met after the defeat in local elections in Andalusia, south of the country last March 22, claimed ‘not get caught on things that interest only 25 ‘people

.’ In politics should distinguish the important from what is not, have clear objectives; should not be distracted by less important matters, sometimes trivial or minor ‘he said, referring to criticism for poor performance in Andalusia.

Rajoy said that the face of it, it is obvious to the PP recovery economic, because ‘it is you want one hundred percent of the Spaniards’ and then win the elections.

He said that will not make calls for unity, believing that the PP is a united party, that ‘it is not a discussion forum or group of friends’, plus it does not seek its candidates ‘coffee shops’.

He appealed to the responsibility of the leaders in the different communities and their public office, and said to be the initials of PP, and the results of his work to the economic crisis, which will make you win local elections on May 24.

The meeting led by Rajoy was held after the results in elections in Andalusia, which generated numerous internal criticism for having lost to the Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE).

To try to close the internal debate, the president convened this meeting of National Board PP (which has not met for two years) attended by nearly 600 leaders, legislators and various public offices
