Faine stresses that grantees are called to be “leaders” of the future

A total of 120 Spanish students have received the scholarship of La Caixa to pursue graduate studies in the best universities in the world, in a ceremony that took place this Friday in Barcelona chaired by Felipe and Letizia Reyes.
The delivery of this XXXIII edition, which corresponds to the call of 2014, has received the Interior Minister Jorge Fernández; CaixaBank Chairman, Isidre Faine; President of the Parliament, Núria de Gispert, and the Minister of Economics of Catalonia, Andreu Mas-Colell.
120 candidates from 25 years of media –a 43% are women and 57% men – have been selected from 1,700 applications, meaning that each student has competed against 13 candidates, stressed Faine
They correspond to 19 parts thereof are most represented disciplines Biology, Engineering, Business and Economics. Physical and Political Science, and Sociología– and come from 31 provinces: Barcelona and Madrid lead the number of scholarships with 25 and 28, respectively, followed by Valencia –10–, La Coruña –7–, and Vizcaya – -6 -.
