Prosecutor asked 42 years in prison for extesorero the PP Luis … – Caracol Radio

Madrid, Jan 16 (EFE) .- The Spanish Anticorruption Prosecutor asked today 42 and a half years in prison for Luis Barcenas extesorero the ruling Popular Party (PP, center-right) for crimes such as money laundering, bribery, embezzlement and misappropriation improper under the so-called “Gürtel case.”

This is a judicial inquiry into alleged corruption in contracts rigged employers and individuals related to PP in which 41 people listed as defendants.

In the indictment filed today with the National Court, the anti-corruption prosecutor also asked to keep this process the ruling Popular Party and the former Minister of Health Ana Mato as partners for profit benefit of the Gürtel plot.

In the case of PP, the Attorney understands that profited from the profits made by companies Correa and his collaborators in various municipalities and asks 328,440 euros in civil liability.

With regard to the Mato exministra, who resigned in past, Nov. asks 28 468 euros because it believes that benefited from the gifts that the plot Gürtel made her ex-husband, the former mayor of Pozuelo de Alcorcón (center) Jesús Sepúlveda, who is also among the accused.

It also calls twenty-four and one month in prison for woman Barcenas, Rosalia Iglesias, while for other local elected officials requesting PP sentences of between fifteen and fifty years in prison.

Barcenas, who was the first manager and then PP treasurer and senator, the judge also investigating whether established a parallel accounting in the PP, with income allegedly contributed by employers as grants and outflows as bonuses leaders, something denied by the aforementioned.
