MADRID, 20 (EUROPA PRESS)
A European consortium led by Indra has completed development of an advanced forensics lab designed to be transferred to scene of an attack and to process evidence effectively.
The Spanish multinational has coordinated the ‘FORLAB’ project that worked another 12 partners from seven European countries, including several police forces involved as late in the design of the system users.
The program, lasting three years, has received funding from the European Commission through the Seventh Framework Programme.
‘FORLAB It consists of a team of 3D modeling, which generates precise scene of the attack within minutes an image, and a series of sensors that detect and analyze evidence.
Then, using a positioning system, is attributed to each test location in the 3D scene. This information is recorded and sent to a control center using a secure communications system from the experts what other controls can lead and support the operation of collecting evidence.
The purpose for which it was developed the system is to optimize the collection of evidence on the ground that, in the case of bombings, demands quickly identify a large number of possible tests scattered over large areas with scarce resources, explained Indra.
