Surprise fireball in sky Spain – News MVS

The luminous event, which was also recorded from stations Smart record operating at observatories Calar Alto, La Sagra and Seville, moved swiftly in a southwesterly direction and ended at about 78 km above the town of Orcera.

Residents of Spain were surprised by a “fireball” bright it could be seen in the sky.

According to reports the bolide could see the dawn of this day in the southern and central country, as recorded the detectors installed at the Astronomical Complex La Hita of La Puebla de almoradiel in Toledo.

In addition, two nights ago another brilliant ball that was also recorded pro detectors located at the University of Huelva was reported.

This was announced by the AstroHita Foundation, who shared the videos on Youtube where the astronomical phenomenon can be observed.

The analysis is carried out by Professor José María Madiedo (University of Huelva), chief researcher at the Smart Project, who revealed that the fireball flew over the north of the province of Jaen, beginning at an altitude of about 117 kilometers.

The bright event, which was also recorded from stations Smart record operating at observatories Calar Alto, La Sagra and Seville, moved swiftly in a southwesterly direction and ended at about 78 kilometers above the Orcera town.

The Complex Hita announced the installation of two new devices to analyze the origin and chemical composition of these rocks which sometimes can produce “spectacular” fireballs as a result of their violent crash into the atmosphere.

The fireballs are called bolides and when the rocks that produce them survive their rough passage through the Earth’s atmosphere impact the resulting fragments on the ground as meteorites.

Regarding the fireball recorded in Almaraz, it was produced by a detached fragment of a comet that hit the atmosphere at about 95,000 kilometers per hour.
