Gorilla birth amazes visitors zoo in Spain – Excélsior

MADRID

A gorilla gave birth today to public view in the zoo Bioparc Valencia , in the Spanish city of the same name.

‘Nalani’ a female 10 years old bare in the eyes of the visitors , who witnessed the mother cleaned and pampered breeding , which still remains in the umbilical cord until it dries, she reported the enclosure animal .

the mother wowed visitors to the cartwheels of joy, yes, carefully protecting her baby.

this is the second gorilla born in Valencia after the birth of ‘Ebo’, a male, in 2012.

‘Nalani’ came from Hannover, Germany, in 2014 to be part of the male reproductive Mambie group, formed by two other females, Ali and Fossey, and small Ebo.

the technical team of the zoo prepared everything a special device to provide the maximum welfare of the mother and her baby, and maintain the tranquility of the group.

shelters were conditioned and were given access to both the inside and outside for the group to decide freely how and where to stay.

After the birth, the mother has left the grounds on several occasions and has been seen comfortable and relaxed, taking great care to small.

Now the role of their caregivers is to maintain vigilance and let nature take its course providing the best conditions for it.

in Bioparc Valencia there is also a group of “single males” formed by three individuals, one adult most, Jitu (1983) arrived in 2008 from Blackpool Zoo (England) and two young Thomas (2002) and Kabuli (2004) who came in 2009 from Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Frankfurt (Germany) respectively.
