Caracas, June 20, 2016 .- Today June 20, the world commemorates World Refugee Day, a date more than a celebration represents a call attention and awareness to the leaders and systems of governments around the world to the forced displacement of human groups that for one reason or another, generally from war, famine or natural disasters, are forced to leave their countries or places of origin .
This date begins to commemorate by resolution of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) since 2001 formalized as an expression of solidarity with Africa, which is home to most people living in such conditions in various parts of the world.
this is an appropriate occasion for various activities, events and campaigns that generate awareness at the global, regional and local level, around a situation which are thousands of people around the world due to problems such as wars, famines and natural disasters.
