Madrid, 7 dec (EFE).- The parliamentary group of United we Can-In Developed by Can-In Tide has requested today’s appearance at the Congress of the director of the State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT) Santiago Menéndez, to explain his performance to the alleged operations to evade taxes of football players.
The parliamentary group has called for Menendez to appear before the Committee on Finance and Public Administrations of the Congress of Deputies as a result of the information published by the internet portal “Football leaks”.
According to this web site that specializes in posting confidential information related to the world of football, top players such as Cristiano Ronaldo or Mesut Özil would have served different companies in order to evade huge sums of money in taxes to the state treasury.
The initiative is signed by mp Alberto Garzón (IU) and Josep Vendrell (Common Can).
