The Court…accuses More and two exresponsables of its executive, Irene Rigau, and Joana Ortega, of grave disobedience for pushing the referendum of the nine November, banned by the Spanish courts.
The prosecution calls for 10-year ban from public office.
‘we’ll Go to trial with a face held high and with a sense of duty fulfilled’, he said through the social networks the exgobernante Catalan.
In the vote, which had no legal effect, involving some 2.3 million people and 80 percent of them opted for secession.
On that occasion, the Spanish Constitutional Court decreed that under the current Constitution, ‘a region cannot unilaterally convoke a referendum of self-determination given that the magna carta is based on the indissoluble unity of the Spanish Nation’.
The cabinet of prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, inaugurated the past month of his second term, is in favor of dialogue with Catalonia about their demands for greater self-government, but rejects the holding of a popular consultation, something demanded by a majority of catalans.
