MADRID (Reuters) – Just 18 percent of catalans think that Catalonia would achieve independence from Spain, while 44.3 per cent believe that they will end up closing some sort of agreement with the State that will give the region greater self-governance, according to a poll published Sunday by The Newspaper.
The Catalan daily points out that the confidence in the attainment of the Catalan State has regressed almost four points since the election “plebiscitarias” the 27-S 2015.
According to the barometer carried out by the Gabinet d’estudis Socials i Opinió Pública (GESOP) for The Newspaper, 27.6 percent believe that the mule pro-sovereignty will be abandoned due to lack of social supports, that is five points more than in September of last year.
