through the campaign, the International Organization Animal Equality seeks to raise awareness among the public about the conditions to which are exposed the animals in the slaughterhouses of the different countries in the world. To this end, it has released videos of 360 degrees on YouTube from the perspective of a chicken, a hen or a pig.
The initiative has been in collaboration with Kat Von D, and Marco Antonio Regil, celebrities mexican residing in the united States. Both narrate the way in which animals are tortured in slaughterhouses. Images can hurt sensibilities in the spectators for the excesses committed against animals.
"Our goal is to impact to the people through an experience more real. This has nothing to do with the feeling of to read a booklet about the topic," said Javier Moreno, the founder of the organization in statements to the Spanish newspaper el País. The project is based on research carried out in slaughterhouses in France, Germany and Spain.
It has been shown that the experience dive to the reality is a lot more effective for change of attitudes and behavior in people. The investigation was conducted by the University of Stanford and that is why the organization Animal Equality decided to apply it to generate a strong impact on the audience.
