Expand / The Governing Council has approved the funding agreement with a public university, adapting the regional contribution to the national average.
The Governing Council has given approval to the agreement with the University of Zaragoza, which guarantees the stability and adequacy of income of the university for the period 2016-2020. Thus, the University will receive through its basic transfer 1498 million this year, in 1545 2,017, 1566 to 2,018, in 1586 2,019 and in 1607 2,020, an amount that fits the regional contribution to the national average.
The agreement, which was ratified by the Governing Council of the University of Zaragoza and also went through the Finance Committee of the Parliament of Aragon, aims to empower the academic institution as regards education and culture but also as an economic engine of the Aragonese society.
In addition, the Government again allocate money for infrastructure after a legislature without any investment in this area. This year is set for an item in the budgets of 25 million and as much in 2,017, an amount that will be reviewed from time to tell the university with a new governing team.
