The European Space Agency and the Russian Space Agency jointly send a spacecraft to Mars. It is Exomars, a mission that will search for the presence of life on the red planet.
The launch is scheduled for March 14 and the main objective is to study the atmosphere and the Martian surface for biosignals as methane, water vapor or nitrogen oxide, which could help better understand its evolution and habitability.
the mission will comprise two parts.
in the first, it is expected that the ship reaches its destination in October to begin the first studies; in the second, an orbiter at 400 km altitude study the planet for two years, during which he will collect data on the structure and chemistry of the atmosphere. Scientists hope this new space voyage resolve doubts about the possibility of life on other planets.
