According to the survey published today, the 19 percent of Basques support independence .

the greatest support for secession was recorded in 2014, with 30 percent. 32 percent was then the opposite and 28 percent placed their support or rejection depending on circumstances.

Opposites now are 38 percent , the percentage more high since 1998, when this study began to be realized. 30 percent would agree with it or not depending on the circumstances. The remaining 12 percent did not answer.

The regional government of the Basque Country, chaired by Iñigo Urkullu, the PNV, does the independentismo action Government , as it did in the past Juan Jose Ibarretxe (1999-2009), of his own party. In Catalonia (northeast), there is meanwhile in motion a process of secession in open defiance of the Spanish State.
