Girona stop at two people accused of collaborating in EI financing – Reuters Spain

MADRID (Reuters) – the Civil Guard arrested Wednesday in Girona two people accused of collaborating with a permanent funding structure of the Islamic State (EI), according to the Ministry of Interior .

the two men, along with a third person, another brother who had died in Syria, according to the Ministry , did get the funds to the economic managers of Islamic State using the intermediation of false identities.

the detainees, brothers aged 33 and 22 years of Moroccan nationality and resident in Girona, are accused of crimes of financing terrorism, collaboration with a terrorist group and autoadoctrinamiento.

so far this year, Spain has arrested about 30 people for alleged links to Islamic extremism, according to data recent compiled by the Ministry of the Interior.
