Survey reveals growing support for independence in Catalonia – Terra.com

47.7 percent of citizens of Catalonia (northeastern Spain) support the creation of an independent state with respect to Spain, according to the second Opinion Barometer Policy Opinion Studies Center of Catalonia.

The official agency published on Friday its survey in which addresses several political issues, and openly question if they are to Catalonia is an independent state, something that opposes 42.4 percent, 8.3 percent do not know and 1.7 percent did not answer.

The data contrast with the previous barometer published in March, which was 45.3 percent of those that supported independence, about 45.5 percent of those who rejected it.

Also, contrasts with the barometer summer of 2015, when 50 percent rejected independence, about 42.9 percent of the asking.

The survey was conducted from 28 June to 13 July by 500 thousand interviews in the provinces of Barcelona, ​​Tarragona, Lleida and Girona, and has a margin of error of 2.53 hundred.
