King Mohamed VI of Morocco called today by telephone to King Philip of Belgium to express their condolences and “absolute” solidarity after the attacks perpetrated today in Brussels, which have caused at least 34 dead and about 200 wounded.

According to a statement from the Royal Cabinet, Mohamed VI expressed his “strongest condemnation of these heinous terrorist acts” and expressed the Belgian monarch and the families of the victims condolences, his “deep compassion” and its “absolute” solidarity with the Belgian people.

Last November, the Belgian monarch had a telephone conversation with Mohamed VI in which he requested the cooperation of intelligence and security of Morocco with their counterparts in Baetica in the fight against terrorism after the attacks of Paris.

Two explosions hit today International Airport Zaventem, Brussels, and another was recorded in a subway station the center of the European capital, in what was identified as a suicide bombing by the Belgian authorities.

These attacks came after the arrest in that city last Friday Abdeslam Salah, who jihadist logistics responsibility for the attacks last November 13 in Paris is attributed.
