The Spanish Supreme quotes two presidents of Andalusia as … – Caracol Radio

Madrid, February 17 (EFE) .- A judge of the Spanish Supreme Court cited as defendants the last two presidents of the regional government of Andalusia, the socialist José Antonio Grin and Manuel Chaves, as defendants in a case investigating an alleged fraud with public funds.

The judge Alberto Jorge Barreiro today reported appearances of these two politicians on 9 and 14 April.

The judge investigating his possible involvement in the alleged fraud in the use of funds for unemployed facts that are between 2001 and 2010 and investigating a judge of Seville.

But as Cháves’s deputy and senator Grin, are gauged and can only be tried by the Supreme Court, before which they had asked testify voluntarily.

This case, in which there are 275 accused, it has hindered the Andalusian policy in recent times and attended the resignation as Andalusian president Grin, who left the post in August 2013 to preserve the presidency of the “erosion” in the case.

The Andalusian appearance of the two presidents will occur after the regional elections on 22 March in the southern region of Spain, traditional electoral stronghold of the Socialists.

Both Cháves as Griñan have had a significant political weight in the Socialist Party (PSOE), which have been presidents. EFE
