Declared unconstitutional the consultation held in Catalonia – El Universal (Venezuela)

Madrid.- The Spanish Constitutional Court (CC) today annulled the symbolic sovereignty consultation held on November 9 in the region of Catalonia (northeast) as contrary to the Charter Magna, told Spanish media.

The decision was supported by all judges, who declared unconstitutional decree voting and various provisions of the so-called law of consultation, approved in September by the Catalan parliament was convened to provide coverage legal, DPA reported.

According to press reports, the high court considers that consultation concealed a referendum process that can only summon the Spanish State.
