Police arrest four suspected terrorists in Spain and Morocco – Prensa Latina

October 12, 2016, 08:39Madrid, 12 oct (PL) The security forces of Spain and Morocco arrested four suspected members of the self-styled Islamic State (EI), in a joint operation against terrorism, said today the Spanish ministry of the Interior.

Those arrested -four men of moroccan nationality – were two cells are jihadists based in both countries, which acted in a coordinated manner and in direct collaboration with the organization Dáesh (acronym in Arabic of the EI).

Two of the arrests took place in the Spanish cities of Ceuta (north African coast) and Altea, in the Alicante province, and the other two in the localities moroccan Tetuan, and Castillejos, said in a press release the department of the Interior.

The operation allowed the neutralization of a potential threat to the national security both of Spain and of the Kingdom of Morocco, stressed the source.

The four captured had a high level of radicalization and commitment to the postulates of Dáesh and devoted to indoctrination, radicalization and submission of new jihadis to the ranks of the terrorist organization.

To do this, according to Interior, they received direct instruction, logistical and material support propaganda of a group’s EI based in the conflict zone syrian-iraqi.

The device was carried out by agents of the Spanish police and of the Directorate-General of Surveillance of the Territory of Morocco, in collaboration with the National Centre of Intelligence.

Since in June 2015 Spain increased to four, the level of alert against terrorism, its security forces arrest about 150 people associated with the radical jihadi.
