The crimes will be prosecuted after 2004 because it was on that date that he entered force the amendment to the Criminal Code to include the crime against humanity which is punishable by a maximum of 30 years in prison.

ETA decreed in 2011 the cessation of its armed activity in search of an independent Basque country early last year and announced his partial disarmament, rejected by the Spanish government, which requires the dissolution of an organization that has killed more than 800 people in 40 years.
