Three Spanish journalists are missing in Syria where they were last seen in the city of Aleppo nearly ten days ago.
Angel Sastre, José Manuel Lopez and Antonio Pampliega , which working as reporters “freelance”, they entered Syria from southern Turkey on July 10 and two days later, on July 12, contact with them is lost, explained to EFE president of the Federation of Journalists of Spain (FAPE), Elsa González.
After the news of the kidnapping, the families of the journalists have recognized that “working in the search and location” from day 12 and so far there is about his whereabouts confirmation, so they have called “patience, but above all, respect” and “the greatest possible discretion as necessary in times like these.”
Foreign Ministry is “aware of the situation,” sources said department head Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo, who have merely added that they are “working on it”.
