The National Electoral Committee of the Popular Party, headed by Alicia Sánchez Camacho, met Friday in Madrid and has approved the nomination of the president of PP-A, Juanma Moreno, as a candidate for the presidency of the Andalusian and ‘number one’ Parliament for Malaga.
Also, as reported by PP a statement, gave the green light to the appointment as heads of provincial list of other candidates, also this Friday approved the Regional Committee of the PP-A.
This is the candidatures of the delegate National Government in Andalusia, Carmen Crespo, of Almería; the provincial president, Antonio Sanz, of Cadiz; parliamentary Rosario Alarcón, for Córdoba; the parliamentary spokesman for the PP-A, Carlos Rojas, of Granada; the provincial president Manuel Andrés González, for Huelva; PP general secretary of Jaen, Miguel Angel García Anguita, of Jaén; and PP president of Sevilla, Juan Bueno.
Thus, there are six new faces among the chief candidates presented by the PP-A in their lists to the Andalusian Parliament –two of them of women-and only repeated in the same positions Antonio Sanz and Carlos Rojas.
Moreno, candidate for President of the Board, will be ‘number one’ for Malaga because, although born in Barcelona, was in this city where he grew up and spent his childhood and youth. In fact, it was there where he began his political career as president of New Generations of Málaga and Councillor for Youth and Puerto Districts and Bells Tower at City Hall. Moreno was also regional deputy for Malaga in the V Legislature Parliament of Andalusia.
Therefore, despite currently reside in Seville with his wife and three children, will head the list of PP- A by Málaga, a position that in previous elections of 2012 occupied the exalcaldesa in Fuengirola (Málaga), Esperanza Ona, the only one of the mayors ‘popular’ which was also parliamentary and, unlike his colleagues, decided last November preserve the minutes of deputy instead of the baton from the Mayor’s Office.
Because of this incompatibility between the offices of councilor and parliamentary establishing the Andalusian Electoral Act, have not repeated as’ numbers uno ‘lists for their respective provinces and the Mayor of Córdoba, José Antonio Nieto, nor that of Huelva, Pedro Rodríguez, nor Seville, Juan Ignacio Zoido.
