Second night of riots in Barcelona eviction of a property – Milenio.com



Several hundred people protested the police action to evict an old bank branch which it was occupied in 2011 by activists who tried to reopen today.

the eviction of a former bank engaged in Barcelona unleashed today a new wave of unrest in the northeastern city of Spain where several hundred people marched to protest the actions of the police.

the incident began on Monday night when a first demonstration took place against the eviction of the property, one antigual bank branch it was occupied in 2011.

protesters tried today to reopen the doors of metal with which the place was boarded up by police, prompting a new intervention from agents and new confrontations between the parties.

On Monday, the riots resulted in fourteen and wounded agents arrested today was released. Barricades were also erected in the central Gràcia, a truck was burned and several vehicles were overturned
