Brussels, December 18 (EFE) .- The Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, has assured today that neither he nor anyone in his government has pressured the state attorney general, Eduardo Torres-Dulce, to force his resignation.
Rajoy has denied those pressures in the press conference offered at the end of the last summit of the year of European leaders.
“Not at all. Nor have I spoken nor has it done swim of my government, “stressed the chief executive when asked whether there had been any pressure.
It has also explained that he had no knowledge that tomorrow the Cabinet had to start the process to over from Torres-Dulce.
As a substitute, it has merely stated that someone will be “capable, independent and ensure compliance with the law.”
Speaking made hours before also in Brussels, Rajoy had expressed his respect for the decision of the state attorney general to resign from office “for purely personal reasons.” EFE
