Red Cross trains volunteers in Nicaragua in actions against emergencies – El Nuevo Diario

The Red Cross Nicaragua trained today a group of volunteers in disaster issues in order to improve their emergency operations centers.

“This training is part of a project called Capacity Building Response of America, which seeks to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to organize the Emergency Operations Centers,” said the coordinator of Disaster Management project in Nicaragua, Miguel Vega told reporters.

a total of 22 representatives of the Nicaraguan Red Cross were able to rearrange the Emergency Operations Centers at least 10 branches of the Central American country, according to Vega.

“This will strengthen the national society of the Nicaraguan Red Cross capacity to prepare and respond effectively to disasters,” he said
