Urdangarin: Royal House of Spain questioned knew business | Peru Trade – Trade

Inaki Urdangarin , son of King emeritus Juan Carlos and main accused in a macro trial for corruption, said Thursday that the Spanish Royal Family knew the business of the Institute Nóos, by which he is suspected of having embezzled millions of euros.



 He married Cristina de Borbon, second daughter of Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain, Urdangarin , Olympic exmedallista handball turned-businessman, presided over the agency, officially non-profit, between 2003 and 2006.

the prosecution accuses him of using his influence as a member of the royal family to get together with his former partner Diego Torres, million-dollar contracts without public bidding of two regional government and divert after the money through shell companies.

Urdangarin said however that “at no time” king Juan Carlos interceded in their business.
