2015 Cyberex development includes implementation of a ciberejercicio within Member States of the Organization of American States (OAS) that allows the strengthening of the capacities to respond to cyber incidents, as well as improved collaboration and cooperation to such incidents.
The participants of this experience will be composed of experts in cybersecurity teams working in different centers Cybersecurity Incident Response, of the 34 OAS member states and observer countries of the Organization could become guests. Participation by countries (with a total maximum number of 45 teams) will allow the internal configuration of each country of a team that includes professionals from various fields and strengthen collaboration between institutions.
Sources Council of Europe show that more than 1.5 million users each day are victims of cybercrime attacks worldwide. Particularly of interest is supporting the qualification of the Latin American centers, since according to the United Nations, the use of Internet in Latin America is growing at one of the highest rates worldwide: 355 million Internet users.
Capture The Flag, 2015 Cyberex format
The entire exercise and its preparatory sessions will be held virtually. The ciberejercicio be held on September 24 in CTF (Capture The Flag) format. This format is based on a model of competition cybersecurity designed to serve as a training exercise that allows give participants experience in monitoring intrusion and work in the capacity of reaction to similar cyber attacks that occur in the real world .
The working sessions will take place between 16 and 28 July 2015.

It enables the participation all Member states of the Organization: Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas (Commonwealth of the Bahamas), Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica (Commonwealth of), Ecuador, El Salvador, United States, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

These ciberejercicios part of a partnership that is currently endorsing the OAS and the Government of Spain, for development of various cooperation activities that seek to strengthen the levels of protection and resilience internationally.
