Franco Foundation demand withdrawal of symbols – AnsaLatina.com

MADRID, 14 (ANSA) – National foundation Francisco Franco (FNFF) today threatened to sue mayors Francoist symbols removed cities after the announcements made by the new progressive municipalities such as Madrid.
FNFF considers it a “revenge campaign” and calls for “respect for street names and monuments as testimony to an era of Spain” .
In a statement declaring his “intention of failing and sue mayors and councilors to approve the removal of monuments, stained glass, shields and trails for damage to the artistic heritage of the Spanish people.”
FNFF considers that it should also be removed from the street of cities to La Pasionaria and Santiago Carrillo, among others.
